Slight foxing throughout some of the volumes. Page 541 in Volume 5 repaired. Vol. 6 and Vol. 11 are 1st editions. Vol. 12 which is usually the most worn is in very good condition. NOTE: The complete official history of Australia's role in W.W.I including The Story of Anzac The A.I.F. in France The Photographic Record of the War with magnificent reproductions of pictures taken by the official photographers (Frank Hurley et al.) etc. It was Charles Edwin Woodrow Bean (1879-1968) Australia's official war historian who more than any other was responsible for shaping the Anzac legend.
