Vol. 2 has half title-page only with text 'Gentiani Herveti Aurelii commentarius in Clementis Alexandrini exhortatorian ad gentes orationem'. Latin and Greek text in parallel columns. Previous owner's name and a booksellers description of the book on inside of the front cover. Small water stains on endpapers otherwise an excellent edition of these important works. (ESTC No. T144834). NOTE: St. Clement of Alexandria or Titus Flavius Clemens was a Christian Apologist and the second known leader and teacher of the catechetical School of Alexandria. His written works covered the ethical theological and biblical. He attempted to mediate between the different Christian groups and make the religion more accessible to the non-believers uneducated and heretics. This is the complete collected works of Saint Clement of Alexandria.
