NOTE: Only the 6th and 7th editions of this pamphlet has been located by Ferguson and he cites only the Mitchell Library copy of the latter the one here offered. It contains a very severe attack (pp. 77 ff.). on the Botany Bay project: in fact the First Fleet was being victualled when this pamphlet was published. he criticism of the expedition to Botany Bay was that the destination of the Convicts was too remote; they are departing at the wrong time of the year and will be exposed to the rigours of winter; and no possible benefit can accrue to Great Britain from the execution of the project.
