After Hours at Berkelouw Books Mona Vale
You are invited to meet the author Kirsten Tranter and hear her read from her
new book The Legacy.
The Legacy is much more than a mystery begging to be unravelled. It’s also a story of love and desire and living in the moment. A contemporary homage to Henry James Portrait of a Lady, it reveals how the most compelling stories are full of loose ends and flawed characters.
Author Kirsten Tranter is heir to her own legacy as daughter of literary agent Lyn Tranter and poet John Tranter. She has her father’s poetic touch in the evocative and powerful imagery she creates on each page. The novel is constantly unsettling, beguiling, sinister and utterly riveting.
Kirsten Tranter has recently completed a PhD in English Literature at Rutgers University and has been based in New York and Sydney for the past ten years. This is her first novel and will be a major publishing event in the US in August 2010.
When: Thursday, February 25th, 2010
