You are invited to meet Ryan Campbell when he tells the story of his record-breaking flight around the world at Berkelouw Books in Hornsby.

When he was six Ryan Campbell fell in love with aeroplanes. At 15 he became the youngest pilot in Australia. Inspired by his father and grandfather who were aviators, when he sought challenge and adventure, he found one that spoke to him very clearly. He would fly around the world, solo, in a single-engined aircraft . At 19 he became the youngest person ever to do so.

In Born to Fly Ryan captures all the dry-mouthed excitement of flying alone above the earth with only one engine. He landed 34 times in 15 countries and covered more than 24,000 nautical miles.

His book is a fascinating view of the world from above, shown to us by a dryly funny and charismatic man who has already done more in his life than many of us will do in a lifetime.
