It’s a wonderful world out there and there are many reasons to go travelling…

We invite you to meet two authors from our local community who, for different reasons, set out to travel Australia and then produced beautiful books to document their journeys.

Jane Grover, chef and author of Naked Food Cookbook, yearned for a break from the everyday routine. With her husband and teen children she spent a season exploring Australia’s southern coastline – they camped under the stars, fished for dinner and cooked on campfires. Then, she wrote a book Our Delicious Adventure, with 80 wholefood recipes. travel stories and fabulous photography.

Mick Miller grew up in Pittwater and was a boatbuilder/rigger by trade, a professional sailor and a ferry driver. He also had a career coaching some of Australia’s top athletes including six Olympic campaigns in rowing and sailing. After a close call with throat and neck cancer, he packed his blender into a 1968 sky-blue Volkswagen beetle called The Rocket and set off on a journey of discovery and recovery around Australia. Travelling Australia Mick’s Way follows his journey and captures his daily adventures.
