“A story of love, family honour, civil war and barbarity” THE INDEPENDENT

A long-silent mother is dead. When her adult twins are summoned to hear her last will and testimony, she demands to be buried naked, face down, against the world. Ensnared by their mother’s bequest, each twin is thrown across the globe to deliver an envelope to a stranger – a father they thought dead, and a brother before unknown.

Lebanese born French-Canadian sensation Wajdi Mouawad has his Australian premiere at Belvoir St Theatre, directed by Neil Armfield.

“I read Scorched and was totally floored… I think this play is a masterpiece of contemporary world theatre” Neil Armfield
