Located on Norton Street, one of Sydney's popular restaurant strips, the Leichhardt store is spacious and cosmopolitan. Under the shade of the building's front awnings, the busy Berkelouw Cafe serves fantastic coffee and is one of Norton Street's most popular meeting places. Inside the bookstore, the downstairs area features an extensive selection of both new and rare books and an outstanding range of cards, wrap and stationery items. The second floor boasts thousands of second hand books, secondhand CDs and the cosy couches of the Booklounge Cafe. Philosophy and poetry nights are regularly held in the cafe, and special events featuring prominent thinkers and writers occur monthly.

From the city go west along Broadway and Parramatta Road until you hit Norton Street where you will turn right. Berkelouw bookstore is at number 70 on your left, across the street from Norton Plaza. From the city you can take the following bus routes: 436, 437, 438, 440.
